Yangshuo is located in Guangxi Province and is known for its breathtaking natural wonders. Its most notable attraction is its prominent karst mountains that are intertwined with the life of the locals living there. The Li River gracefully winds through their lands, adding to its magnificence and charm. Yangshou is a place for nature lovers. Hiking, biking, rafting, and rock climbing are some activities that one may find here. The small town itself is bustling with life- and tourists, but there are many ways to get lost on the outskirts in the vast nature and feel like you are the only one there.
I first visited Yangshuo with some of my family members in 2014. it had been one of the most memorable experiences I’d had until then and I promised myself that I’d revisit it. I did just that and even took the same BagLady Basics dress that I’d worn on my first trip there! My second time visiting Yangshuo felt just as new as the first. I saw places that I had not seen on my first trip, and we even spent an entire day exploring Yangshuo by motorbike.
Here are some scenes from both trips to Yangshuo. Prepare yourself for lots of greenery…
I'd had a fun rafting experience with my family in 2014, and decided to forego this activity the second time around. We decided to bike along the river instead which also felt as rewarding.
I enjoy biking so it was definitely an activity that I had to do again! Riding through these mountains and fields, could be done for hours, and that's exactly what we did! One day on bicycles, and the other by motorbike.
This place filled me with much needed light and I am proud to say that I kept my promise and returned. No unfinished business here!
Until Next Time,
