For the Win | The Hong Kong Challenge

Hong Kong travel, tram in Hong Kong
“What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail?”

It’s a quote that most of us know, and a question that has been running circles around my mind for the past few weeks, and my most recent trip to Hong Kong made it ever so present and relevant.

Hong Kong holds a special place in my heart, as it’s the place where my brand, BagLady Basics made its initial debut- it’s the city of “firsts” for BagLady Basics!

The place where I first wore my first three designs, and where I got feedback on my dresses and brand name. The city of my first B.L.B photo-shoot, and where I made great friends in fashion that encouraged and supported me from the beginning.

So upon my return to this beautiful city, I ruminated on what I’d done, where I’d been, and how I’d grown since I started B.L.B. Most importantly, I started thinking about what I wanted for my future.

“What would I do, if I knew I couldn’t fail?”
I asked myself out loudly. 'Wellllllll', and I started thinking about things that I’d usually daydream about, and as my thoughts took form, my fears, both big and small crept into my dreams.

But fear has no place in my heart, and as soon as I detected its presence, I took action, and decided to change the rhetoric.

“What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail?”

Ok there are too many negative words in this, like ‘couldn’t’ and ‘fail’, I thought to myself.

Let me remix this shit…

How about, "What would you do if you knew you’d WIN?"

And I proceeded with my daydreams.

THIS is a question that I think we should all ask ourselves- ask ourselves and then answer!
Answer and then maintain a positive mindset and work towards those future wins.
I have a couple "WINS" in mind, that I've now started working towards and will share with you all eventually, but till then, I'll throw this question out to you!

What would you do if you knew you’d WIN?

Come on and join me in this challenge!

They say that if you really want to buy authentic but somehow affordable signature bags, you can travel down going to Hong Kong and you will find what you are looking for. I went there last 2016, and I really had fun shopping. It's indeed a home for designer bags yet the price of the items are not as high as the items being sold in America and in Europe. I actually felt that I was on my haven that time. I am happy to know that Honk Kong occupies a big space in your heart. Fashion is getting bigger and bigger, isn't it?

If this is just a bad dream I want to wake up already and stop confusing myself more. I want to understand why I am unhappy. Why do I get drawn to people and places? Shouldn't I be moving endlessly like a gypsy? I shouldn't stay in places where my soul stagnates. You can't heal from the very same places that made you sick. I wanted a life I don't need a vacation from. We are all looking for this kind of home. Little did we know that what we need to look for are actually people and not really places.
